Welcome

At Dutch Cove, we believe that church is not a place you go; it’s a family you belong to. As our guest, we want you to feel at home. Home is a place to belong, to be loved, to believe in the good news of Jesus Christ, and to be changed by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. Every Sunday, we are anticipating that God will move powerfully and personally. So, from the moment you drive into the parking lot, we hope you sense the excitement and welcoming atmosphere.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, some of our protocols and activities will look a little different as we gather together

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Sundays like at Dutch Cove?

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE TIMES:

10:30 am.

WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC IS USED?

We sing a blended melody of gospel music, contemporary worship songs, and traditional hymns in our worship services. Our desire is to direct our worship to God. We sing songs to please the heart of God, not for a certain style or preference.

WHAT WILL MY CHILDREN DO WHILE I'M IN THE WORSHIP SERVICE?

Children are important to Dutch Cove, and we fully welcome all members of your family in both services! While we are in this time of transition, we are only offering children’s ministry during our services for children ranging from birth to kindergarten in our Preschool Ministry, which we affectionately call the Bee Hive. To help assist parents in keeping children of all ages engaged while in service, we provide crayons and a fun worship bulletin made just for kids. One of our worship hosts will provide these materials to you as you enter the Worship Center.

WHAT ARE THE SERVICES LIKE?

Each weekend you'll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with engaging worship music and a practical, relevant message from the Word of God. We start by singing a few songs, you’ll hear a little about what’s going on in the life of the church, learn about opportunities to serve, and prayer. Then we worship through music again before hearing from our Lead Pastor or one of our other pastors who is preaching that day. If you’re curious about the style of teaching, check out our past messages. Before we close out our service, we create opportunities to respond to Jesus and to fuel the mission of Jesus through our generosity. The worship service lasts about 75 minutes.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

You are welcome at Dutch Cove just as you are! You will see people in coats and ties, in jeans and t-shirts, and everything in between. We meet to worship the Lord and fellowship with others. We believe that it's the attitude of your heart that matters to God, rather than your physical appearance.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT COVID-19?

WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?

We recommend that you arrive about 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the service you are attending so that you can park, get your children checked in if you choose to, and allow time for our Worship Hosts to seat you.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I COME FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Whatever your comfort level, we will do our best to make you feel right at home. When you pull into our parking lot off of Dutch Cove Road, ask one of our Parking Team members to escort you to one of our special first-time guest parking spaces. One of our Worship Hosts will meet you at the entrance of the Worship Center, give you a first-time guest bag that’s full of great resources, and then help you and your family get settled in. They will also ask you to fill out one of our Connection Cards so our pastor can connect with and pray for you.
All of our services are held in person and online. The Bible teaches us that there is no substitute for being together as a family of believers. At the same time, no one is being asked to attend services in person who are at risk, care for an at-risk person, or who are personally not ready to gather yet. Our desire is to be faithful, to be available, to be responsible, and all the while to be compassionately concerned for the safety and well-being of our entire faith family.

We are practicing typical Covid-19 safety protocols and best practices during services, and our Worship Center and children’s areas are cleaned each week with hospital grade sanitizer.

We are in this together, so we are asking everyone to:
  • Please be sure that each family member arrives wearing a mask (ages 5 years and up) if medically able, through the month of January 2021. In February, we hope to return to masks encouraged, but not required for attendance. If you wish to wear a mask, please bring one if you have it. If not, a limited number of masks will be made available by our Worship Hosts as you enter.
  • Please enter the building from the main doors. After service concludes, you may leave through any nearest, convenient exit.
  • Please practice social distancing using the marked seating rows.
  • If you care for a patient with Covid-19 or you have experienced any Covid related symptoms within the last 24 hours, we ask that you not attend services in person but rather join us online.
